My Favorite Coastal Decor

I’ll admit, I’m definitely partial to a more coastal look when it comes to my interior style. I sway more towards a Serena and Lily vibe than anything else, although I honestly only own bedding when it comes to Serena and Lily (I’d love more eventually! But very $$$$…) SO here are my favorite “coastal” items within my own apartment that bring me joy.

The first, is this adorable lobster Chappy wrap. As soon as I saw this pattern, I knew we needed it. If you don’t already know, I’m a huge Chappy Wrap fan (we literally have four in our apartment!) I think they are truly the best blanket I’ve ever owned, and I use them daily. This one is great if you’re looking for a pop of color while still keeping it coastal…a lot of coastal looks keep to the white and blue theme, so this one is a great change if you’re looking to spice it up. I also thought it was perfect on my couch during Christmas time this year while still keeping my coastal look. Definitely a favorite!

These two pillows are actually made from recycled SAILS. How cool is that? My best friend Pj bought these for Jake and me for Christmas and he clearly could not know me better. They look perfect together in our living room and I love the contrast of the lighthouse with the anchor. They both have similar colors but different looks, which compliment each other so well. I’m dying to get my hands on one of their bags!

How adorable is this tiny Wool Hooked throw pillow? My Mom got me this for Christmas and I could not love it more. I actually pair it right in front of my two Sea Bag Pillows. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of whales, so I think this was the perfect addition to the apartment. If you’re looking for just a small *hint* of coastal, this is a good one, just based off it’s small size and simple coloring.

Speaking of whales, Jake and I have more of a grey theme in our bathroom, and I use this Pottery Barn Whale Bath mat. Sadly, they don’t make it anymore, however this one and this one give off similar nautical vibes. I also think this anchor one is adorable and has a similar grey color scheme!

You guessed it – another Chappy! But I had to let you know about this one because it is FINALLY coming back! Definitely click the “notify me” button on their site so you can snag it. This one is a fan favorite, and what made me want a Chappy in the first place. This is the first one Jake bought me and it is so well loved in our home. I love that there are a few different patterns on each of the fish, AND that the fish don’t actually take up the entirety of the blanket (which you can’t tell from this picture…) I truthfully think it gives it such a perfect design. Super eye catching, cozy and, of course, coastal. (Murray very much enjoys this Chappy too!)

THIS company I am so excited to tell you about. I was eyeing Plum Island Drift for about a year before making my purchase for the beautifully crafted whale we have above our couch. Each whale is unique and made from drift wood from Plum Island, MA. The one posted above is actually one they have for sale right now and probably the most *similar* to the one I have. Eric hand selects the drift wood and carves all different sized whales that can be used for decor. I’m obsessed! I always joke with Jake and my friends that it’s going to turn into my family heirloom. 😉 They think I’m nuts, but I just could not love it more!!
