Big E & Carly Rae Jepson

Sadly, the Big E is over – this year, we decided to go the last weekend in hopes that it would be a bit cooler than last year. It definitelyyyyy was not. Sadly, once again, I wore a t-shirt. Although I had a wonderful time this year, it’s so much better eating all of that food in the cooler weather. Don’t worry though – I managed to eat most of my favorites!

The Maine Baked Potato and Fried Oreos  – I always end the night splitting a bag with Jake!

Last year, I listed out all my favorite foods for you – but this year was a little different because my friends and I were also seeing Carly Rae Jepson. Weirdly, we had originally picked this weekend before we found out she was even performing. About a month ago, my best friend Pj (Who is a major fan…who then turned me into a major fan…) randomly called me when I was getting coffee with a friend. He made me guess what he was so excited about and I audibly gasped – causing my friend who I was drinking coffee with to think somebody died…oops!! Basically, when we found out she was coming to Western Mass we pretty much lost it.

We’ve honestly been listening to Dedicated since it came out in the spring literally on repeat – truthfully, I hadn’t found an album since Reputation that I had willingly listened to over and over. Pj has been a long time fan of Carly (although let’s not forget I showed him ‘Call Me Maybe’ way back when…) but, with Dedicated, I hardly ever skip a song and truly feel the album hasn’t gotten the overall attention it deserves. So to see so much of it performed live was unbelievably exciting for me!

Soft tee is by Gap! I also wore my favorite jeans.

Sadly, Carly had to end the concert a bit early – but, it was honestly one of those concerts where you don’t stop dancing literally the entire time. It was thrilling – we knew the lyrics to every single song (STREAM DEDICATED GUYS!) and it was worth the heat we endured the whole day to just be dancing under the strobe lights with Carly Rae right in front of us. I don’t think I have had that much fun since we went to the REP tour together… Overall, a perfect night with my best friends. We hardly had time to take any pictures – so you know for sure we had a great time! 😉

Have you ever gone to a concert at the Big E??
