Spring Shoe Must Haves

Hello, Hello! I’ve been dying to share with you my go-to foot wear for spring. I’m anticipating an absolutely insane (and awesome) summer – lots of weddings, trips and life changes coming. It’s all really exciting and, yet, I am in need of a bit of a distraction! So0o, I thought sharing my favorite spring finds with you would be just the thing. Besides, what’s life without the thrill of shopping?

Shoes are Seaport Penny Loafers by Sperry (Full Review below – love love love love them!) This photo was from my trip to Cape Cod at the end of last summer and I’m still wearing them super regularly. Jeans are old Madewell, but they are the straight leg jean! Sweater is last season Old Navy, although I love this navy/white version by J.Crew with a roll neck. As always, sporting my Apple Watch. 😉

I bought the Lauren Mid Heel by Jack Rogers a couple of months ago on sale, in anticipation of the spring weather, and I am so glad that I did. They are beautifully crafted and I already have plans to wear them when I walk for graduation next month (Eeeek!) and one of the weddings that I am going to this summer. They are so unbelievably classic, and a new look on Jack Rogers. I just love love love love them, and I am so pumped to wear them throughout spring and summer!

You have definitely seen me wear these Seaport Penny Loafers by Sperry in a ton of pictures in the last year. Jake got them for me for Valentine’s Day last year (I think…it blurs sometimes!) and they are the ultimate comfort of a loafer. Once again, super classic and preppy, and I wear them both to work and nice dinners with friends. You can dress these up or down, and they are super high quality. I have run into zero issues in the last year and I wear them so. often. Couldn’t recommend them more – but definitely size up, as they run pretty small. I’m almost a size 7 in every single shoe I wear, but I had to size up a full size for these. Just a heads up!

I bought the Madewell Harper Mule  a few months ago. I think it looks great with denim jeans and a cute top, and I’m so pumped to wear them through spring, summer and into fall. To be honest, I haven’t worn them as much as I want to because I didn’t want them to get beat up at work (I run from room to room a lot – not super practical, at the moment.) However, the shoe has a nice layer of padding that makes them wicked comfortable. I honestly wear them barefoot for the warmer weather and plan on wearing long chic trouser socks in the cooler months…because that’s just who I am…! 😉 Plus, I’m just a huge fan of a chunky block heel.

Absolutely l o v i n g these J.Crew New Balance 840 Sneakers in pink. These sneaks are definitely singing that millennial pink jam, and I can’t get enough of them. I already own two pairs of sneakers from the J.Crew/New Balance collab (Why not a third?) including this dreamy pair with a hint of rose gold that I slip on weekly. In all seriousness, I always love adding a cute pair of sneakers to my collection. They are great for walking around the city while still feeling like you have a look put together for yourself. Plus, a little color brings a little happy to every outfit!

To be honest with you, I have yet to invest in a pair of Birkenstocks. HOWEVER, I’m continually told how extremely comfortable they are, and I’m eyeing this Arizona White Birko-Flor Sandal. I’m in serious need of a sandal with a bit more walking support, and I just find the white to be so trendy and spring-like. I think I’m ready to try the “legendary” comfort – do I splurge and go for it?!

Speaking of comfort and style – I’m dying for a pair of Clark’s. Jake got this pair this past winter, and already can’t wait to wear them more next season. However, I’m obviously eyeing something a bit more feminine, and I think this Pure Tone Flat by Clarks would be perfect for work. I love the nude cool with a bit of a rosy tint – plus, it has the tiniest bit of a heel, which I (personally) definitely need. This is a shoe that you could dress up or down – and, from what I’ve heard, the comfort of Clarks is r e a l.

Okay, this is the shoe I want to be wearing around a preppy beach town. J.Crew collaborated with Sea Star Beach Wear to create this beauty – the Sea Star Beachwear Beachcomber espadrille water shoe. This shoe is perfect for summer days because it has a rubber sole and water friendly detailing. No more worrying about ruining your good shoes…plus, the denim blue is absolutely stunning. Paired with white shorts, a bathing suit, basket bag, and a sunhat – you have a loooooook.

Of course, the classic of the classic, a standard pair of Jack Rogers is essential for the spring and summer season. I wear these things to death, but they always hold up for a couple years and can be worn from wicked casual to super formal. I’ve seen people wear classic Jack Rogers to summer weddings because they are both comfortable and stylish, and b e a u t i f u l ! I wear both my gold pair and my silver pair all season long. However, I do have quite a few other colors, because you can never have too many Jacks!

What are your favorite spring shoes? I can’t wait to wear these on a regular basis again!
