Stitch Fix: My New Obsession

It’s so funny because, in the past, I never really would think Stitch Fix would be for me. I am someone who knows what I like and I consider myself to me a constant “window shopper” – I am always looking! I enjoy putting outfits together and don’t really feel a need for anyone to do it for me. However, I now consider getting my Stitch Fix box to be a fun surprise each month….you get to explore new clothes and new brands, which is something I just love to do!

This is me wearing my first Stitch Fix – I love how fall themed it is! Perfect for an afternoon at the brewery.

With the pandemic, I’ve been actively looking for things to “look forward” to. As a planner, it’s been really hard for me to have an open calendar with no end in sight. Getting a Stitch Fix box is fun because it shows you a bunch of clothes you can buy and try on at home (since I’m not going to stores right now to shop for clothes…) with an easy process of sending back what you don’t want. My Mom is the one who said I would really enjoy it, especially with work being so busy and not having as much time to dedicate to searching for clothes. She was totally right! On my first order, I chose two items that I just loved. This cardigan was my all time favorite and it was actually the most affordable out of the bunch. It honestly just reminded me of a pumpkin spice latte! I also bought the purple sweater because it was ultra soft and I just did not want to take it off!

Honestly, I just recommend it because it’s a fun thing to do and they collaborate with so many high quality brands at this point. There wasn’t a thing they sent me that didn’t feel well made. I also love how they personalize it to you! Each day (because I find it fun…) I give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to the items they think I would be interested in. It gives the stylist a better perspective on what I would like and also, for me, it’s just a fun mindless thing to do because I love looking through clothes. Plus, you can leave them notes letting them know if you don’t want something or want more of something else. For example, I asked for no jewelry, because I wear the same staples pieces each day. However, I did ask for more sweaters, because I just love getting new sweaters.

It’s also a great thing to do if you don’t like putting outfits together or you feel like you need clothes for specific things. For example, you could tell your stylist that you really only need clothes for work, and they will start sending you clothing specifically for your profession. I have some friends that just hate shopping in general, so Stitch Fix lets them refresh their wardrobe without having to think about it!
