HAPPY NATIONAL STRIPES DAY! In case you don’t follow J. Crew on Instagram, I thought you all might want to know that today is the day to rock your stripes. The striped look may just be the most classic of them all when it comes to a preppy summer look – but J. Crew has proven the look goes further than that. Personally, I’m always a stripe girl, and I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite striped styles….
Over the years, J. Crew has explored a lot of colors and branched out from the original “look” of the brand. Personally, I’ve been loyal through all the different looks over the years, but I think bringing this national “holiday” into the mix really lets their fans know where the store is really at.
BTW: The sweater I’m wearing is an old J. Crew one, along with the pink belt. 🙁 But for similar looks, just look below! 🙂 Plus, the umbrella I was using was so well made – it’s a Bailos Umbrella, and works so well.
- Right now, these J. Crew New Balance leggings are literally 70% off. I would love to wear this to a zumba class with a basic white workout tee. I actually own these high waisted leggings in black, and I wear them every week! (Normally, $85)
- Okay, these J. Crew Pajamas are absolutely perfect. I love that they are made of cotton – Jake got me a pair of J. Crew Pajamas for Christmas and I love how relaxed they make me feel. Is that weird? Really though, so dreamy and perfect year round! ($78)
- I always love when J. Crew partners with other brands – these striped navy and white vans are seriously timeless. Their nautical look will go perfectly with any beach vacation you plan on taking this summer! I’m personally eyeing these for my Portugal trip this June….($60)
- Alright, you guys know I am head over heels for my L.L Bean Men’s Rugby shirt (the navy and white one….you can see me wearing it here and here on Instagram!) but I’m really loving this pink and navy rugby from J. Crew – would love to add it to my collection! I love that this look is “in” again! ($59.50)
- Everyone needs a classic black and white striped tee with a front pocket (no? just me? I have too many….)! This one is J. Crew, so it’s great quality but it’s also affordable and 40% off! This is an absolute steal and if I didn’t already have so many I would buy it today for sure! ($24.50)
- This J. Crew Canvas Tote is so beachy and delightful, I can just see myself carrying it, filled with books, while wearing a nice big sun hat! Not only does it fit all your beach essentials, but it’s made of a durable canvas and it has stripes! ($69.50)
- In all honesty, I’ve been eyeing this roll neck sweater for a while, and am realllllllly tempted to buy it for my vacation this summer. I know it can get chilly at night, and wouldn’t it be just perfect with some Jack Rogers and these J. Crew shorts???? (UH, the answer is yes, it would be so perfect.) ($75)
- Another fact about me: When it comes to my boots, I pretty much only wear J. Crew trouser socks. They always look good with my cropped jeans, and I honestly find them so comfortable. They last a long time, and I’ve always found them to be worth the extra money. Plus, how cute would these striped ones look with a pair of rain boots this spring? ($12.50)
- CUTE MAKE UP BAG ALERT – this cosmetics bag is just simply cute. I’m loving the patriotic color scheme, and I would just love to throw this bag into the canvas tote I linked above for you guys! (29.50 – but it’s 40% off right now!!!! Totally worth it.)
- Last, but not least, I love this ballet styled swim suit with it’s pale pink colors! A few years ago, I bought my first J. Crew swim suit (scoop neck styled one piece!) and never looked back. They last so long and I find their one pieces to be so flattering. I’ve never felt that comfortable with a bikini style, so this is really a look I would go for! ($118)
