Weekend with Caley

Last weekend, Caley visited and we had the absolute best time! She actually stayed a little into the week and worked at her New York office, so it was so nice to get to see her even after the work days. She hadn’t really explored too much of southern Connecticut before, so we fit as much in as we possibly could! When she got in on Saturday night, we went right to Bedford Hall, one of our favorite restaurants we discovered the night I got my hair cut. We all ate really well and loved our meals, and it gave us an opportunity to chat and catch up!

Vest is my absolute favorite from J.Crew, boots are another J.Crew favorite, and bag is old J.Crew but here is the updated version. Jeans are one of my favorite high risers from Gap, and shirt is also Gap but I sadly can’t find the pattern, which is half of what made me fall in love with it. But, it is very similar to this one by them!

Caley was super generous and gifted us some beautiful Anthropologie champagne flutes, as well as some bubbles to celebrate the new move! She also got me a crystal roller, which I’m super excited to try, and lovely bracelet as an early birthday present. We both share the birthday month of October, and always try to find a weekend in the fall to celebrate!

We also went to the pumpkin patch together and made jack-o-lanterns with Jake. It was a super spontaneous move, as we noticed the pumpkins on our way to lunch. We ended up getting a bunch of them, some for apartment decor, and enjoyed listening to Halloween playlists while carving them together. Naturally, we also watched both Coraline and Halloweentown while she visited, so it really was the ultimate spooky October weekend.

My favorite Patagonia and my every-day sneaks

Caley and I lived together freshman year of college at a school we both ultimately ended up, happily, transferring from. We both motivated one another to get out of there to pursue what we really wanted at the time, and we’ve been close ever since. It’s honestly so nice to be able to have a friend like Caley. She’s one of those people who you can, literally, always count on and she puts so much into being your friend. I’m so grateful for her!
