Products I’m Crazy About Right Now: Dec 2018

It’s funny how passionate you can get about a new product. I find a lot of different products through Sephora samples…I love ordering online simply to try out new things that I might just fall in love with. I also like to grab stuff at Marshall’s – they always have high end stuff, and it’s a cheaper way to see if a product works for you or not! Lately, here’s what I can’t get enough of:

Flannel (Fitted), L.L. Bean.

December 2018: Products I’m Crazy About

Okay, this is something where I had, genuinely, never tried anything like it before. The Clinique: Take the Day off Cleansing Balm has become a travel essential for me. I keep it in my clear travel case for weekend trips, which I feel I’ve been taking a lot of lately between seeing Jake in NYC and visiting friends. All I do it take a bit on hands and rub it on my face at the end of the day. It soaks up all my makeup and then I rinse it off with water. It’s an easy makeup remover that works wonders, and is extremely gentle on my sensitive skin. The “balm” part was a new concept for me, I’ve always used makeup wipes, but I’m head over heels for it!

Okay, my sister Sam showed me this back in the summer. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray has become an everyday essential in my travel make up bag. I take it all over – work, travel, you name it. It’s a great refresher in the middle of the day. It gives me a quick boost, waking me up and making me feel more fresh. Plus, it smells so lovely! Sam also showed me that it’s great for setting make up. It’s not sticky and doesn’t make you feel like you have wet plastic on your face (has ANYONE else ever felt that way with heavier set sprays?!) This spray is such a light mist, and it doesn’t bother my skin. Win-win!

I mentioned this product in my most recent stocking stuffer post, but I really do feel that Bumble and Bumble’s Invisible Oil Conditioner has done wonders on my hair. In fact, I think all of their invisible oil products would work well on my hair. It smooths out my hair, and stops all of those baby hairs from going all over the place (even when I don’t put additional product in!) Plus, it just makes it feel good and soft to touch. You can even see in the photo – my travel size is almost gone! I will definitely need to be buying more of this ASAP.

I’ve have been using Bath and Body for years. I would say it was definitely my *first* obsession when it comes to lotions and shower gels. I still hardly ever drift from their body wash – their scents are my favorite and I know they they they will, reliably, work well on my skin. However, their Body Butter is new to me! Not to be too “TMI”, but it works best right after I shave. I just lather it on and I swear, I feel like it stays moisturized so much longer. It’s great all over, and smells divine. I just love this stuff!

Okay this, this stuff, is M A G I C. I am NOT exaggerating. I have never in my life had anything work as well as this on my feet. AND, I know, feet. They’re icky to talk about it sometimes. But, this Advanced Clinical Total Foot Renew is like having a pedicure without actually going for a pedicure, minus the getting my toes painted part. I used this stuff so much this summer when I was wearing my Jack Rogers everyday, and I needed to take extra good care of my feet. I literally lather this stuff on, and then cover my feet with a pair of socks and wear it overnight. It’s a facemark for your feet, and by morning they feel and look so good and are so soft. Couldn’t recommend this stuff more!

This bottle is, sadly, pretty much empty. Yes, I have almost used the entire thing. I hardly ever actually get to the bottom of a product, but you know I love it when I do! This L’ORÉAL Blow Dry it: Thermal Smoother is perfect for blow drying my hair. It keeps everything smooth and protects my hair from the heat. The cream is really lightweight, and it doesn’t make me feel like I’m loading my hair with extra product. It really does tame any of that additional frizz that comes from putting heat on my hair! Both my sister, Sam, and I use it – which really shows how it works on different types of hair, seeing as she has really curly hair and mine is fine with more of a wave.

This is another one of those products where I, truthfully, have never tried anything like it before. You all know how loyal I am to my Lancome liquid foundation – mainly because it has always worked really well on my skin. However, recently, my Mom bought this “it – Confidence in Compact” and she accidentally bought it a shade too dark. I’m usually a tone darker than my mom and sister, so she let me try it out. First of all – WOW. It’s a solid serum foundation? How? What? It goes on just like my liquid does. I just use my real techniques face brush and brush it right onto my face. It has full coverage AND SPF 50. It’s hydrating and has such a nice finish….wait? Did I just find another fabulous foundation? Love love love love it.

I know, I know. More Bumble and Bumble. But, seriously, have you tried this? I bought this once in a travel size to qualify for free shipping at Sephora (lol), and I found a forever product. This Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It cream is wildly perfect for my lazy days. Literally, all I need to do it is shower and then run it through my wet hair. I use absolutely zero heat, and just make sure it’s all brushed out. My hair then dries nicely, and soft. Seriously – it leaves your hair absolutely crunch-free without any hassle. I will literally use this stuff forever and always.
